Garrotts dark eyes glisten within the depths of his face the craggy
features highlighted in the wan illumination of the light crystal at his
feet, presented to him so long ago by his brothers whenhe left the liferock.
"Ayoe, I assume that Temorya would be best suited to answering your question
in relation to how much remains within the person taken by the being that is
Todiel. From what I have seen, nothing of Temorya remained within his usual
body when he was taken. However it seemed that Todiel could take on all the
physical characteristics, such as Temorya's ability to fly. I could not
truthfully answer though if asked were Todiel to also take his knowledge, I
saw no evidence of him casting elemental magic, despite his many chances to
do so, even to avoid capture...so I would surmise that knowledge would
remain Temorya's." The big Obsidiman shifted slightly finding a more
comfortable position. "So I think it is safe to assume that the being
within the Troll, is indeed the creature we know as Todiel, wholly and
totally." Placing his chin within his hand, the big warrior sighed. "I
cannot help but think that we cannot fault Todiel for his desire and his
passion to live. Although we Obsidimen are often resigned to our fate, I
have observed many times that Name Givers clutch at any chance to live.
Many Name Givers grasp at immortality or a means to extend their lives,
without regard to what effect it has upon others. Likewise I think it is
also true that the one who Todiel inhabits also has a right to life and a
right to decide ones fate, even fight for it. One cannot fault a being for
the desire to live at any cost, were one to, I would say, hand me your
weapon and armour now." The cogs slowly moving within his head slowly
ground onwards. "Although my reasoning may be flawed, I feel that only
Mynbruje could truly arbitrate this matter without malice. Though one is
amongst us who probably has the deepest understanding of Todiel and seeing
as it is he whom is the aggrieved party, perhaps we should ask him what he
believes is a fitting punishment for the incident?" Garrott's eye took hold
of Temorya's seeking the windling out and seeking to lock gazes with him.
"Were anyone to pass a judgement, it would be the one who was wronged by the
standards of many Name Giver races, that should pass the judgement or make a
determination. Temorya, what do you feel about this and what we should do
with Todiel." Leaning against the wall, Garrott looked to Temorya for an
answer.
