As they look over the riches spread out Pean laughs. "So this is the
life of an adventurer, eh? So how are we going to split it? I suggest
Temorya and I have the grimoires - but then I would! Depending on what
Ayoe finds out about the armour we can decide later, but as for the
money, there are twelve of us and ten orichalum coins.
What I propose is we add up the value in silver of it all, and divide
it all equally. people can then decide if they want the value of the
coin, or the coin itself. Personally, I want one of the coins, but as
I'm getting a grimoire out of this, I don't see any reason to be
greedy.
So, with ten silver to the gold, and ten thousand for the orichalum...
Hmm. I see a problem here..
The orichalum coins can be useful in magical rituals, such as the Ghost
Master Ritual, but if you want to sell them, it could be tricky, as not
many places are going to have that much silver to hand!
What do you think, all, what do people want? It is difficult for me to
put a price on the grimoire until I have examined it, Temorya is
probably the same, but even with the knowledge and learning contained
within, it may not be equal to a orichalum coin, and the spells will
help the entire group, by expanding our repertoire. .. ah, I don't
know!
My father would be furious with me, but I will not cheat my friends. I
guess I never was cut out to be a merchant! I will take the grimoire
in place of a coin, if people are willing, although, if no one wants
one..."
He grins at the last statement, as he turns one of the shining coins in
his hand and places it regretfully on the floor. He has never held such
wealth, has only seen elemental coins a few times in his fathers
strongbox, and this was a thing of such beauty - magic personified. It
could be so useful, too, to tap into the Astral, and have a spirit
mentor, the epitomy of his Discipline.. He has shed blood with these
people, driven a thing from this world that was never meant to be here.
There are greater things than money. Magic, for one, and he had a
Grimoire, now. Who knows what secrets lurk within, awaiting his
discovery.. He just hopes this won't cost him too much, financially.
"So, we have coin to the value of 1537 throalic silver. Between the
twelve of us, thats 128 silver, plus 1 left over. Rather than split it
into coppers, how about we just put it towards the first of the groups
next costs?

In the days following, Pean can usually be seen, by the light of the
evening fire, examining the skull as he delves into the Grimoire,
Occasionally taking out his own leather bound book, and making notes,
as he catalogues the spells and writings of his predecessor, and begins
to transfer the spells to his own Grimoire. Any attempt to converse
with him while he is so involved gets just a nod or a grunt. As they
walk, however, he is more eloquent, sharing exertps from the Grimoire,
and talking with Temorya about the history of the Kaer, that they were
able to piece together from the writings.
OOC: I'd be interested to know more about the mage behind the grimoire
- did they leave any notes in addition to the spells?
OOC[2]: the spikes go, I take it?

Pean solemnly recites a funeral over the corpse, hoping that their
decision had been the right one. He believed so, but... hopefully it
would be the last name-giver to die here, he consoled himself.

Pean bows to the Bone Circle spirit, thanking it for its vigilance, and
asks it how the animals came from the circle, and returned.

Pean gazes longingly at the book, and the secrets it contains. He took
the opportunity to copy the results of the investigations into his own
grimoire, to be discussed with a Teacher in the future, but can't help
but feel that this is what happens when the unqualified meddle in the
ways of horrors. He wishes briefly for the Talents of a wizard, as he
would dearly like a copy of the book..

Pean arranges for lodgings with the others, and expresses his
intentions to find a Nethermantic Teacher to help him advance in his
Discipline. He is gone most of the time, returning at odd hours,
sometimes with strange stains and marks on his robes. He does find the
time every now and again though, to join the others for dinner, or a
drink, and talk about Travar. Even for the moderately travelled
Nethermancer, this is a big city, and he is eager to talk about it with
his friends..
