> "I think we just wait. They should fade, as I recall."
"Thank goodness. I'm sure I'd find a stomach to get them out if need be, but I'd really rather not go prying things out of people. I'd feel like I was committing a terrible act even though I was helping."

> before I fall down, never fear. And I appreciate the thought."
Lena nodded, sorry that he moved away so quickly. But he was right. And until he decided stubbornly to fall over or bleed out she might as well do something useful instead of sitting there fretting.
She returned to Agravon's side where Ayoe was tending to him, reached into her pack carefully as not to disturb him and fished around for a moment before drawing out a blouse. Delicate and white: the material looked as if it were soft as down and would have been lovely if she didn't quickly find a seam and begin shredding it into strips.
Once she had a handful she handed them to Ayoe to bind or blot as best as she could Agravon's wounds. "There should be another blouse in yellow in there should he need more. Feel free to shred it if need be. We need bandages more than style at the moment."
Lenora's father would have been proud of the practicality of the statement. She was learning, slowly mind you, to prioritize what was important in her life. And her friends topped that pyramid, she realized, if her sword and that which she treasured were sacraficable things.
Taking another handful and grabbing up a waterskin she went to Garrott, offering him a drink first. "You did excellant Garrott. I should have believed a little more in the strength of us all I guess." She dabbed at a bit of blood pooling in one of his craggy shoulders. "I brought some bandages if there's anything that can be bound. I'll just run the rest of these to Maereth and Rose and be right back."
Lena returned to her pack again, shearing half the other blose and taking it ror bandages and leaving the other half with Ayoe. The smaller strips she gives to the lovers, letting them tend to each other, then takes the new hunks over to Garrott. "All right, big guy. Where're you aching. And don't be a smart ass about it either." She rubbed a hand against his cheek fondly before preparing the bandage.
Occasionally she glanced over to check on Pean, but chided herself for it. She had to learn to trust, it seemed. And more so than just her own feelings but in the strength of others. Last in her mind was a thought for her blade, whether the crystal had damaged it or not. She reminded herself stubbornly that it's just an extention and the true blade wasn't damaged, only strengthened in the lesson learned.
