Pean sways on his feet, forcing himself to concentrate on the spell he
is weaving, drawing strength from the magic bending itself to his will,
and the comfortable repetition on the gestures, incantations and
thought processes. Even through the pain, and the concentration, there
is an eagerness - at last, he is facing a Horror, and pitting all the
skill and wisdom of his Discipline to its defeat. He puts all he is
into the spells, weaving a protective web around himself, trying to
create a safe place for his companions to retreat to, if needed.
Once the spell succeeds, he will summon a Spirit Double, and give it
his staff, telling it to attack the Horror. If any of his companions
are down, he will instruct it to carry them to safety (the circle), and
then attack. He will then summon another Double, and instruct it to
stand by, and if he loses consciousness, to carry him to the entrance
of the Kaer. Finally, he will attempt to re-attune his Spirit Double
Matrix to Astral Spear, and then smite the Horror until either it is
dead, or he is.
