Shalandra yells to everyone. "Get to the side that I have damaged. I'm going to make another pass and try to damage the other side."

She then moves Shalamar back up the hall to get another running pass. She will try to get another spot so that the people on foot have damaged areas to attack.

Elklisee quickly drops to a knee and drops a crossbow bolt into her crossbow now in hand aims and fires at the crystal room. It arcs perfectly and strikes the side of the chamber falling away from the side. From this distance you cannot tell if the shot has done any appreciable damage at all.

Suddenly the same spikes that had pierced through Pean's joints also rip through Garrott's stony flesh. The mighty warrior increases his roar as the pain feeds his anger but the damage fails to knock him to the ground before the horror.

Rose and Garrott run forward reaching the side of the chamber as Kerrik fires over their head with an elven warbow. The arrow smashes into the side of the crystal structure with great force but chips only a little of the material away from the side of it. Garrott and Rose watch as a small trickle of blue blood comes from the wall, trying to focus on it instead of the foul evil that seems to emanate from the structure.

Angavorn, Maerath, Temorya, Farli, Lenora and Ayoë run full speed toward the room, drawing their weapons as they run. Shalandra in the meantime mounts Shalamar and pushes her forward in a trot as she fixes her lance, readying for a charge.

Pean manages to push himself from the ground and steadies himself as he seeks to cast the Life Circle of One. As he stand another wave of pain passes through his mind and he almost falls in a faint but manages to focus as his master had once taught him. He must protect himself now.

Temorya slows his flight and throws two pebbles before him. They turn to ice as they propel themselves through the air toward the structure. The pebbles form the shape of a spiked mace on the end of a chain as it flies and strikes the side of the structure, shattering into tiny pieces of ice as it hits, leaving no appreciable mark of damage in its wake.

Kerrik drops his bow as he sees too many by the side of the structure to continue his fire and moves at an impossible speed across the room, drawing his sword and readying his attack. Maerath arrives at the side of the structure at the same time, having dropped his shield and broadsword he draws his two handed sword from over his shoulder as he approaches.

As Angavorn begins to close the distance, you hear him scream in agony as the same spikes that Pean and Garrott have grown also begin to sprout from the human. Like Pean he finds the pain too much to bear and falls to the ground.

Elklisee als sees that the risks are too great to continue to fire her weapon and drops it as she runs toward the structure. She draws out a short sword as she moves toward the side of the structure looking for a place to harm it.

Farli and Lenora also move to take positions near the wall of the structure. Lenora draws her blade as you see Farli angles toward the wall, ready to throw herself at it. Suskin has held back with Pean as he was told but growls as the Nethermancer begins to weave his threads to his spell by drawing a circle in his own blood on the ground.

As the incantation is going ahead Garrott shifts his hammer and brings it smashing against the side of the structure. Drawing it back he sees the blow has not even cracked the crystal in the slightest and curses the spikes that hold his strength in check with the pain they are causing. Ayoë and Rose are also frustrated with their attempts to damage the surface. Ayoë's broadsword and the bright axe of Rose failing even to crack the crystal walls before them.

Shalandra, now low in Shalamar's saddle streams past Angavorn as he manages to push himself to standing. She lowers the tip of the lance just in time and screams as though Thystonius himself was in the saddle with her. The tip strikes hard and the experienced horse and rider remain together on the pass, cracking the wall with a cobweb of fractures.

Garrott raises off the ground and moves like lightning heartened by the strike from Shalandra and again slams his hammer against the wall with great strength. As he draws the hammer back again he is disheartened again to see the blow is ineffectual against the wall.

Rose lashes out, her crystal axe warping the sickly light that is emanated from the crystal structures wall into a trail behind the axe. The head falls heavily against the wall but the crystal again proves to be too hard for the young woman.

Elklisee appears out of the darkness and her blade leaps into one of the spiderwebbed cracks with great force. But the orks blow does little but peel a small amount of the crystal from the wounded area, surprising Elklisee at its resilience.

Lenora angles herself and thrusts the tip of her sword at a slight imperfection in the crystal. She is rewarded as a stream of the blue blood sprays down the blade as it neatly slips straight through the crystal. The blue blood evaporating almost as quickly as it formed as she draws the blade out and sees a good hole in the crystal where she struck.

Maerath, hardly slowed from his run, arcs his two handed blade over his head and angles it down. The blade bites deeply and crystal shatters along the length of the blow. More of the faint blue blood evaporating from the great gash across the crystal structures side.

Shalandra turns Shalamar and attempts to use the lance from a standstill but the blow only scrapes poorly across the structures side leaving no impression. As she turns she sees Angavorn finally reach the structures side. He is soaked in blood and has a pained look on his face. She watches in horror though as more of the spikes begin to pierce his flesh and the existing ones enlarge. He yells in pain and falls again to the ground, desperately trying to push himself up and out of the pain.

Lenora suddenly raises her hand to her head and gasps as a pain jolts through her brain. She looks around to see the source of her attacker but from the dread she feels she knows that the room has decided to target her along with the others who have suffered from the spikes.

Kerrik draws out his flail and slams it against the structure. ou hear the ork scout holler in surprise as his flail shatters into tiny pieces of metal, leaving the crystal wall completely unharmed and he holding a useless weapon. Farli, beside him, slams her clawed hand against the wall but also finds the magic of her discipline fails to mark the wall of the structure.

Ayoë strikes the wall and watches her blade slip ineffectually from its side just as Pean completes the circle of blood, his final spell thread woven he prepares to cast the Life Circle of One. Temorya again hurls two pebbles forward but is dismayed to see that the ice does not even form this time and the pebbles fall well short of their intended target.

Garrott screams in frustration as he slams his hammer again, like a bell ringer in a tower. This time he has reason to smile as he makes an indent and sees a portion of fine fractures beneath the head of his hammer form. At least this was progress.
