In answer to a few popular theories....
Touching the wand to the door or placing it in the hole exhibits no
response.
Temorya and Pean cannot see far astrally past the door and what they can see
relates nothing of interest (apart from the spell on the door)
Elklisee spends a good deal of time going over the door at the request of
Lenora and others. After some time she reports back "There is no external
mechanism to opening the door - but with Kaer's there never is. The only
way in is from the inside or many days of trying to break through the door.
Once we get through though I envisage that there will be many traps that I
will be able to assist with...."
