Following Naron's lead you move through the city streets. The windling seems to prefer to stay at roof level which begins to strain at your neck as you move along the streets keeping you eye on him. A couple of times you come close to walking your horses through merchant stands so intent on keeping your eye on Naron are you.
It is thankfully only a twenty minute walk following him, and in the direction that you needed to head as he stops next to a moderate sixed dwelling within sight of the city gates. Naron drops to the door and opens it before landing. Sweat purs off his brow and he appears well out of breath after such a long flight.
"Her we are! Wait here and I will bring the items out to you." Without another word the figure starts moving in and out of the door and placing items on the road in front of you As he finishes he closes the door behind him and looks about you all.
"First is for Rose." He opens a sack and pulls from it a shirt of crystal rings fashioned into armour. "The Corinthian wishes for you to gleam in battle and gives you this armour as a gift to match the battle axe, gifted you by your master. May you wear it as proudly as you wield your axe."
"Next, the master wishes to honour master Temorya." Naron opens a much smaller leather bag that had been in his backpack and draws from it a small item that looks like a piece of amber, small and tear shaped. "The Corinthian wishes to give you this Ska's Tear, so your tears may heal rather than be a mark of grief." He hands the small tear to Temorya before turning back to the piles.
"Ah yes, and for Farli!" Naron pulls from the same bag that he drew Rose's crystal ringlet a grey cloak. "A Chameleon Cloak, with which The Corinthian hopes you will better be able to close in on your beloved animals."
"Pean is next!" Naron again reaches into his backpack. "A Cloaksense Brooch so that you may be alerted to any dangers that seek to surprise you. The Corinthian wishes to speak with you again in the future as he finds your perspectives on life interesting, so he hopes that this gift protects you in your times of need."
"To Angavorn, The Corinthian would have your village well protected and seeks only to provide you back the monies you have spent on provisioning the group." Naron hands out a pouch that Angavorn takes thankfully, though with a little disappointment.
"To Elklisee The Corinthian also wishes to see you renumerated for the pains that you have gone to keep the group provisioned. Though you were indeed in the city the shortest of the group your trip has cost you much." Naron hands out another pouch as he reads from the scroll. Elklisee snatches it and turns her back quickly as Naron begins to look around the larger bags.
"Garrott, if you will, can you please open the crate in which your item is held." Naron points to a crate that was rested against the wall when you all arrived. From it Garrott lifts an impressive two headed hammer with a redwood handle. You see Garrott nod at its weight and balance. "The Corinthian would have the arm that is strongest wield it's weapon of choice. He has heard of your foray into the merchant quater and would have you take with you the hammer that you desired. May you use it well to protect your companions."
"To Lenora the Corinthian would give what the heart desires. But that is not possible, though one day your feelings may be returned. In its stead he gives you this." Naron pulls out a water skin and empties the water onto the flagstones in front of him. He smiles broadly at Lenora. "Is it not fine!" Lenora looks strangely at the pool of water, wondering at Naron's meaning. "Shirak!" The little windling calls and the water separates and forms into two blades made from a silvery blue steel. "Waterblades. A shortsword as is your chosen weapon and a broadsword for you to trial! Naron places the tip of both into the neck of the waterskin and calls out "Elthenal!" and they dissolve back into a liquid, into the water skin. "May you never be found without a blade!"
"To Shalandra." Naron drags over a large bag, as yet untouched. As Shalandra opens it you see her face begin to beam. "The Corinthian would have that which you love best protected against all ills." You see Shalandra pull from the bag a fine chain mesh shaped to suit a horse. It is light and versatile but strong, to protect Shalamar from stray blows.
"And the last is to Maerath, or Alaric as The Corinthian refers to him here. The Corinthian expresses his gratitude to you for all that you have done for him, which is far more than you realise. He expresses grief that he has not found anything that is suitable to one who is so bold and brave. Instead he offers you one last thing. Further information that he has recalled. You had mentioned a companion that had set up a tower in the Servos Jungle. A T'skrang Nethermancer named Athissis. He had done much of the research on the items you were to collect."
Naron now looks about you all. "That is my part done. You have your gifts and I my coin! I hope one day we may meet again!" With his parting words Naron shoots straight up into the air, does a backflip and disappears over the rooftop.
Small time passes as you allow Shalandra the time to place the barding on Shalamar and head out of the gate. Just at the gate Temorya draws out the Stave which again points slightly to the south and mainly to the west. Elklisee looks to you all.
"Do we head west direct into the Badlands or hope that the stave shows us a direction that is beyond the Badlands and skirt it to the North. For I have heard of much darkness that befalls those that enter this place?"
You look at Elklisee and for the first time see that she is nervous of something......
