Hearing Pean speaking of familiars he slowly turns his attention to the conversation before walking up to and towering next to the Elf. "Having travelled some, I knew a Windling once that had an Espagra as a mount, it was quite the versatile animal. Although it was not something that could easily sit upon your shoulder, it was a more than adequate scout and could also hold it's own amongst animals of it's own size." The Obsidiman smiles shrugging his shoulders. "However what do I know, I am a swinger of swords and ignorant in many ways." His smile though is easy and he almost chuckles. "I would imagine that a ferret or perhaps a mongoose would make a very valuable familiar, I have known more than one magic user to carry them. They seem almost too sly, curious and intelligent for their own good, not to mention their ability to be easily concealed and they do stand their own against much larger foes. Many a potential predator has been surprised by the ability of a ferret to become boneless in their grasp, slipping away only to have small teeth slicing into their ankle tendons or jugular." Garrott shrugged again. "I have even heard told of some darker spirited Beastmasters who use them as thieves and assassins whilst someone is sleeping...though it is of course...speculation only."
