" a story?" laughs Pean, harshly,
"very well. once there were some adventurers who took into their trust
a man they did not know. he turned out to be a wanted murderer. the
end.

I have no time for stories - apart from Mearath's. I believe him when
he said he had no memory, but he could have deceived me, deceived us
all. What if he is this Fellblade? We don't even know what he did.
While our stories of good conduct may help, if he is this murderer,
even his amnesia may not help him.

I do not wish to be punished for associating with a murderer, but I
will stand by a friend. Mearath has fought with us, and I give him the
benefit of the doubt. For now.
Tomorrow will be an interesting day. It is yet another days delay in
reaching our goal.

We must consider alternatives, should the proceedings go against us.
What say you all?"
