Elklisee is the only one unaffected by blindness and she strikes out at the lionlike creature standing over Kalais' unconscious body. Hitting the creature with a solid blow it lets out a hiss and turns its fist sized eyes down to Kalais' inert form.
A whistle is heard and Shalandra calls out "Shalamar attack the creature!!!!!!" as she tries to fix on the beasts location to strike also.
The creature bites down at Kalais, easily tearing his limp body in half at the waist. Turning with the upper torso in its mouth it leaps over Garrott, lashing out a claw on its way, tearing open the rock mans back in its leap as it makes a dash for freedom
Maerath stands still and listens for the creature as his skin turns a dark brown and takes on a wooden appearance. He slides out his broadsword and slips his arm in his shield as the transformation occurs.
Shalamar rushes toward the sound of the creature. The horses eyesight also lost to the blast of light strikes its hooves down too late as the Felux moves swiftly out of its path. Lenora also hears its escape and lashes out with her own blade, missing sildly and striking naught but air.
Rose starts to move in sliding strides and rolls toward the sound of the creature, bringing her crystal blade over her head, striking naught but dirt, theough the blow was so close to the creature that several tufts of hair from its tail are found around the cleaved part of the ground where the battle axe struck.
Snapping into astral space Pean quickly spots the fleeing creature and throws an astral dart from one of his matrices. It flies true and strikes the creature, making it falter only for an instant in its step and seeming to crystallise its desire to escape.
"Shield your eyes!" Farli calls as she crouches low next to Pean and accepts Suskin, her bear cub into her arms who is frightened by the noise and sudden loss of sight.
Temorya struggles into astral space as well but can not see anything as he adjusts to the other realm. Blowing through his hands, he curses as he realised his clothes still hang limp, and are not billowed out by the air armour he attempts to cast.
Angavorn is the last to hear the creature and lashes out with no effect.
Garrott's skin goes wooden as a trail of blood pools in the rock mans spine. He feels Kalais' leg and runs his hand up to see how the body is lying to protect it with his own but stops short as he realises that the body only runs as far as the waist before becoming a pool of blood and torn flesh.
You all hear Elklisee call out "Damn, it is swift and is already beyond my sight." You then hear her gasp and retch and hear her vomit splatter to the ground. "Kalais, no."
You wonder at the comment until your sight returns in short time. You see only Kalais' legs remain in the camp.
"It got away with him!" Elklisee's face is white with shock and disbelief as she points out into the darkness.
