"Your opinion of the members of this group is obviously not high. I
wonder... " Illyana is hurt and angered by the T'skrangs words, but refuses
to let him goad her into another argument which will not lead to anything
in the end. She continues: "But yes, I do wish to address the issue of
leadership. I don't agree with your high opinion of yourself, frankly, and
I would have a hard time respecting you as a leader of anything. A leader
is, as far as I have been taught, a person who can listen to the different
arguments of the groups and then choose the right one in a way that will
make others nod their heads in consent. A person who has charisma and the
ability to inspire trust in others. A person with wisdom beyond his or her
years, with experience."
"I think this group needs a leader. We are 11 persons walking in a
dangerous environment. If we decide to go together, then we need someone to
make those choices. Someone we trust to think of others as well as
themselves. And yes, I have a suggestion. I nominate Siri." Illyanas voice
is raised a little as she speaks Siris name.
Illyana finally pauses, her eyes still meeting the T'skrangs in a
challenging manner. A small, content smile lingers on her lips and a
somewhat hard look is in her eyes. Somehow it seems as if she knew the
T'skrang would put his foot in his mouth and she gently let him to doing
exactly that.
