Oh, no, it would be silly to slow down people who are willing to contribute
daily/every other day, I agree. What I mean is if, for example, Lyra says
something, then Astran says something, then later Endok-Tuk's player wants
to say something in response to each, then instead of sending a reply to
each message seperately, send one that looked like:
-------------------------
> Lyra's post
Endok-Tuk replies thusly
> Astran's comments
Endok-Tuk speaks again
-----------------------------
That way the discussion doesn't branch two different directions and we keep
focused. Endok-Tuk could (and should if he wanted to) post again that round
of someone later says/does something he wants to respond to, but by only
sending 1 message at a time, it's keeping a sort of chronological linearity
that is much easier to follow.

Actually, I think the getting different timeperiods is very much a part of
the problem. Different timeperiod posts simultaneously have, IMO, led to
events where because people in the 'now' thread don't know what will be said
a few posts later in the 'then' thread, they may say or do something that
would be completely inapropriate to their character.
It's hard to really explain what I'm trying to say in an email here - I hope
it makes sense. If not I'll try to put together an example or something.
I'm just speaking based on my past experiences - it's helped out in almost
every pbems I've been in. By no means does that mean it's best for all
pbems, but I thought I'd mention it to see if there's anyone who thinks
similarly.
