Watching most of the others rush forth into mortal kombat with the babbling
old man, T'sunami begins retrieving the rope used to escape from the
confines of the catacombs. If there was something down there in the
hallways, providing it with means to climb to the surface and trail the
party back to Haven seemed... undesirable.

Given that the twists constantly change and the Laneways are a certain way
to return to haven, T'sunami would recommend the laneways since the group's
previous path will really have no bearing on a return trip. However that's
like saying "I rather the Horrors skin my reptilian hide and make shoes out
of it rather than pluck out my eyeballs with dull spoons" - neither is a
"good" choice. The Laneways just seem to be a "better" one; at least if
there is opposition, there's a better chance of getting away from/past it
and continuing to Haven.
