Grendahl makes his weapons ready, waiting for the actions of both the
stranger and Endok-tuk. "Try to stun, ok? No need to spill blood."

"We head back same way we came. Alive now so we should make it." Endok-tuk
says absent mindedly as he focusses on the figure now hiding the book behind
his back.
The book is a gruesome piece of work and Endok-tuk senses part of its
nature. His eyes cloud over in anger. He has to hold his temper in check
as he moves toward the figure.
"Book is mine and I will have it now." As Endok-tuk moves forward his mind
is running at a hundred miles an hour as he draws out two fetishes. The
first are two bones tied together like a marionette. His mind races to
attune himself to the fetish, removing his mind from the little wooden ball
still in his shirt. The second fetish is already attuned but will be used
only as a backup. He places the rat skull with a nail through it in his
right hand (mind dagger) as he tries to attune the bone dance fetish in his
left.
<OOC: If I attune to bone dance I try this on the figure with a karma on the
spell casting. If the big guy fails, then he goes for the kill with mind
dagger as often as needed until the figure is down. However it plays out he
wants that book in his hand.....>
Cheers
Mark

Having now four people above ground reading to pull on the rope, Trystan
steps up ready to climb. Because it may take more to lift Endok-Tuk, and
Siri has only ten feet of rope, the unneeded slack of Berryblood's 25 foot
rope is cut off and Trystan holds it as he climbs up to mix it with Siri's
10 feet.
Because only one person can really hold onto the rope while it's tied to the
tree, Andre grabs a hold of the rope and helps Trystan as he climbs up.
Andre does not have to help hardly at all, as Trystan is able to make the
climb without any help (13). After getting to the top, the pieces of rope
are tied together and lowered down to the group providing now two pieces of
rope to hold onto for those climbing up.
Not having quite enough slack to make an actual sling, two loops are made
for foot holes instead. T'sunami is hefted into the footholds with Endok-Tuk
's help and the characters above help pull him up. The task is successful,
and T'sunami makes it up with no problems.
The same is done for everyone else including Selwyn who makes it up just
fine. Endok-Tuk is a little more of a task, but with everyone pulling hard
he is able to make it out of the hole. Afterwards you untie the rope from
the tree, and put it away for another time when it might be needed.
Above the tunnel you stand, with Andre ready to lead you away. "To the north
is a section of the Laneways that runs by the War Zone. The shortest, but
probably more dangerous route, would be straight across the Twists to the
east, which is from the direction you all came."
Looking up at the sky you can see the clouds above the Twists are not near
as dark as they were last night, especially since it is no longer raining.
Even without the rain, however, the clouds still thunder and lightning still
strikes in far off in random places around the Twists.
Just as you are considering your reply, you hear some mumbling that is quite
loud. As you look to see where it is coming from you can see what looks to
be a ragged explorer, human, his clothing singed and torn, his face
crisscrossed with scars and cuts. He seems to be coming towards you
somewhat, but does not see you just yet. He carries an olive-colored,
leather-bound book.
He looks up at you all and screams as if partially scared and partially
crazed, "You can't take it! You can't take it! You can't take it!" With that
he hides the book behind his back.
<Moves please>
<Please include in your posts what direction you wish to head in whether in
or out of character just in case the next post takes care of the current
situation. If OOC, simply state that the direction you wish to head is your
character's wish. If you feel strongly opposed to other's decisions, then
you can take that in character. Hope that all makes sense. J >
