"Using my karma ritual _is_ relying on my abilities", Illyana replies
quickly. "Besides, the way I was taught, using my Karma ritual is a way to
reconnect with my Discipline, to remind myself of who and what I am and
what I am trying to achieve."
Unsheathing her swords, she begins moving slowly as if dancing.
"Swordmaster is what I am", she says. "Warrior wisdom, as you say, is
yours, perhaps, but this...." She moves faster, becoming like a whirlwind
in the small room, parrying unseen attacks with her right hand while
feinting attacks with her left. "... This is what I am." Not even pausing
to breathe, she starts to use the broken pieces of old crates as targets,
impaling them, slashing high and low in a still faster rhytm.
"This is the Dance and the Sword!" she cries as she impales a last
imaginary target with both swords. She finishes with a flowing bow towards
the T'Skrang, picking up her belongings. "Now I am ready to go", she says.
*** If T'sunami has left, she still bows in his general direction :) ***

"If you don't believe your own abilities were enough to protect you in the
ruins, you should not have left Haven," the warrior replies. "However the
wise warrior will warn that the best way to live through a fight is to
avoid
it in the first place. If we move quickly and quietly, that may just
happen."
