Siri and Andre spend quite a bit of time talking with one another. Andre offers to take up watch with Siri for part of the night, but not without having shown some of his maps to Lyra first. He shows her of the paths that he took to get to Parlainth, with each map showing the rolling hills and trees that surround each notable area. Needless to say, his maps are just as impressive as Lyra's are. Lyra spends a good portion of the night looking at his maps, but eventually gives into the tiredness that she feels.
As for Andre and Siri, the time passes as they talk and before they know it half the night has already passed by the time they finally realize how tired they really are. "Go to sleep Siri. You need it," he says. With that, T'sunami and Nightwind are awaken for the second shift, followed by Endok-Tuk and Grendahl.
Those that take watch through the night notice how restless Astran seems to be, tossing and turning through the night, sweating a little bit at times. It is never really enough to leave one terribly worried, especially since no one has really seen him sleep before anyway. His new bedmate that is more or less laying on Astran than her part of the bedroll seems to naturally put her arm around him and caress his head through the night. She seems dead asleep, but at the same time takes an automatic response during the night to calm the young wizard.
Morning comes, and most of you feel pretty well rested. Those that need it make their recovery tests. Upon being asked if he will stay, Andre replies, "I would be more than willing to help. It is up to Siri. I believe she wishes me not to, and I understand her reasons. Whatever you wish Siri, I will do. But I do realize that I cannot very well get out of here on my own, so I will definitely stay with you all until we get out."
Lyra, Grendahl, and Andre lead you all to the place where they fell down from. You can see that the hole goes up about 20 feet high from the ceiling. Approximately 15 feet up is the rope that Lyra, Grendahl, and Andre all used to get down. It would most likely take a bit of effort to be able to get up to it. Where the ceiling splits, about 10 feet high, the 5 feet up to the rope could possibly be climbed up to against the rocky edges of the wall. A troll who could climb well could do it, or could possibly hold a person up to get the rope and climb up.
As you sit and ponder your options, you can hear sounds from somewhere in the catacombs. Multiple footsteps, as it would seem. You could try to use the hole, or seek an alternate route. There are still unexplored rooms and corridors; but then again.there are also still unexplored sounds.
<Moves please>
<Sorry about the delay in this week's post. I know I said I was going to probably be able to get this one out Tuesday or Wednesday, but I didn't have any clients who were in trouble, which means I had to do regular line staff duties, which means I didn't have the 6 free hours I normally do to work on the post. I thought that after X-Mas it would be different, but it wasn't, until today. So, because of this, I am thinking that I could probably do a mid post to make up, or we could just skip the missed GM post altogether and get back on schedule. If I have enough to go on, a mid post will work out for me. I still need to work up an updated map, which I will try to do asap.
As far as recoveries go, I did recovery tests for the last night and will post the change to the website. If you wish to use any recovery tests for this next day, let me know. You can use up to your max amount for the day. The only ones that really need it, though, are Illyana and Astran. Everyone else is free from damage except for Grendahl and Lyra who have 4 damage each. Illyana has 14 and Astran has 19 upon waking up. >
