pale at the thought. Killing an undead or theoretically killing a horror is
quite a different prospect from the thought of cutting off the head of a
former travelling companion. She longed for the dwarf... Grendahl, his name
was, as she recalled - he had the practical nature she lacks and probably
packed a nice big axe. She fondles the handle of her sword uneasily.
Clearing her throat, she continues: "Yeah, let's go north - or whatever
that direction is. I agree with your gut, Siri. I just hope Lyra and
Grendahl will make it back to Haven. Or perhaps they will wait for us back
at the shop. I know I would not want to wander through the Twists on my
own. I assume that if we cannot get up, then they cannot come down to us,
huh?" Illyana addresses her question to Siri, but looks at the rubble
herself and shakes her head. "Doesn't seem likely."
"Siri, would you be able to recognize traps and pitfalls? Because I'm
pretty sure the place is full of them. Would it be an idea to tie the ropes
between us, in case anyone takes another fall? Of course, that will be a
hindrance in case of a fight. Does anyone know any good knots, so we can
untie ourselves quickly?" She looks at Astran, then T'sunami. Somehow it
seems likely that a T'Skrang would know about ropes and knots. Or a
wizard... practical people, her gramps used to say.
"We also need to find a suitable marching order. I suggest Siri and T's...
" She looks at T'sunami and changes her mind quickly. "Siri and Nightwind
in the front. Siri will be doing what she can to find traps and Nightwind
has the advantage of elven sight, which should give us early warning in
case we are attacked. Next T'sunami and myself, as we are able to provide
fast backup. After that, I guess ... Trystan and Kestrel, as Trystan can
probably shoot around us girls. Kestrel, you said you can fight close - I
assume you mean it? If you don't then now is the time to say so. Astran
and Endok-Tuk bringing up the rear - they can use their spells and stay out
of danger that way."

picking their steps over the rubble. Looking round, she made her decision

rejoining the others and hearing Astran's gruesome words.
"Cut his head off? Are you sure that's what needs to be done?" She watches
the wizard sweat just thinking of the deed. "Oh goodness, how terrible."
"On another note, one of the corridors has a dripping noise to it. Perhaps
it's a place where we can get clean water if we need it. My gut says those
big
black doors are nothing but trouble."
