>>>The rest of you take in what you can, coughing hard and struggling to
>>>see. You all seem to be all right, including Selwyn whom Endok-Tuk
>>>managed to hang on to as he fell. You suffer minor scratches, some even
>>>being fully protected from the armor that you wear.<<<
Trystan, being one of the last to pull himself out from under the
rubble, stands up painfully and immediately glances at his bow to make sure
it sustained no damage in the collapse. Then, dusting himself off, he takes
careful note of the fact that everyone seems to have forgotten about him in
excitement of the last few minutes. 'They don't even know me,' he thinks.
'Why should I expect anymore than this?'
>>>Through the dust, you see Berryblood's light quartz on the ground.
>>>Holding it is the large troll's hand, sticking out from the rubble, a
>>>blood puddle surrounding the arm coming from underneath the rubble from
>>>where the rest of him is. You uncover the rocks, and find that
>>>Berryblood took a large bludgeon to the head from one of the rocks. He
>>>lays before you dead, and
before you all is a long corridor.<<<
Looking around at the fortunate group, each member rising from their
almost-grave, Trystan's eyes settle on the still arm of the headstrong
Berryblood. Realizing that the warrior must already be dead, Trystan's head
drops, a look of bereft disgust crossing his face at the thought of all that
wasted potential. After a moment of silent reflection, he makes his way
across the debris looking concernedly at Kestrel.
>>>Kestrel nods "Yes Berryblood had spoken true on what her words were." She
>>>frowns as she thinks swiftly and turns back. "Forward is the only way for
>>>us. I vote we move in that direction. But let us move along before we get
>>>any unwanted visitors." she glances around a touch nervous but still
>>>calmer than she was in the tavern. She lifts her gaze and looks at
>>>Trystan "What do you think Trystan?" She smiles liking his quiet ways<<<
Trystan's eyes smile back at her as her glance meets his. "I too would
say that we should stick with the most straightforward path. Chances are, if
we begin taking every odd turn and opening every door we pass, we'll quickly
make our way even deeper into these catacombs. We need to find the rest of
our party - assuming they're not buried beneath the rubble - and get Selwyn
out of here. I'm not eager to test the legendary dangers of these
labyrinthine tunnels with my small amount of experience."
