Well, I guess we did actually need something more from you - since it was
at least not clear to us that we could not just crawl back out. So in
essence, we are two party members short? Then, are you going to have two
GM-posts - one for Lyra and Grendahl and one for the rest of us?

The reason I did not suggest moving in game was exactly the lack of facts
known. We - as a group - need to know what our options are before we can
actually choose. Now that we know we cannot expect to just pick up Lyra and
Grendahl before moving on, we will have to make decisions based on that.
Also, we cannot just tell you that we want to crawl back out - it is not an
option.

I think a dungeon crawl in a PBEM can be not just hard, but nearly
impossible. We will need a lot of mails from you with appropriate
responses. It is almost impossible for us to guess what to do in the
situations to come. A possibility would be for us to ask you some questions
in OOC mails to the list, so the rest of the list will be able to know the
answers at once without having to ask the same questions in character and
receive the answers somewhat delayed.

For instance: Illyana - or someone else - will eventually peak around the
corner behind us, if possible. Is it possible? What will we see?
To avoid trapped doors would seem a very good idea... and not trying to
bang down steel doors too. But we need to come to an agreement to move on
to be able to give you instructions in the form you want...

Mostly I don't have enough from everyone as to a direction to go. I've got
Illyana's wish to go around the corner, but given the fact that not enough
people had responded and said where they wanted to go, nor agreed with
Illyana's rounding the character (did you suggest it IC?), I couldn't go
off
of Illyana's intentions alone.

What I am looking for is a group decision. Some if/thens. "We will
attempt
to check out the two steel doors. If they are locked, I will attempt to
lock-pick them. If trapped, we will avoid them for now and go back around
the corner seeing what is down that way. If a dead end, then back up the
other way. If a door is open/unlocked, I suggest we check it first thing
and then go back to the other door to check it if it's unlocked as as well.
No matter what, Joe Blow stays silent as he can, being careful as he rounds
corners, watching for anything that might come towards them. Basically Joe
Blow wants to find a room where they can rest. Joe Blow will be checking
each hallway for traps using Detect Trap, and he will be doing it with
extra
time and effort. He will also check the doors for traps."

I know that was a bit extensive in my example, but I wanted to give you the
idea. Even 1/4 of that example would be helpful at this point. If you
guys
need anything more from me, let me know. I know that doing dungeon crawls
in a PBeM are probably going to be hard. I've never done a dungeon crawl
before in a PBeM, so any suggestions would be great.
