You sit and talk, addressing your wounds, almost forgetting at times that you are still deep within the Twists. A lightning flash and thunder reminds you of this now and then. As you talk and look about the room, however, you can almost picture how glorious of a shop this might have been.
Endok-Tuk, Kestrel, and Trystan all head up stairs, taking care of their wounds and making sure to look outside now and again for any sign of danger coming their way. Astran casts his Astral Sense spell, trying to see what sort of odd astral imprints are around them. Fortunately, his results yield nothing unusual, although it does leave a slightly unsettling feeling not being able to see anything astrally to explain the odd vision or illusion that was seen.
A half-hour passes by, and Berryblood stands up. "I hope you have all had some time to rest. Let's not waste anymore time." With that he walks over to an empty display case and begins to move it. You see a hole small enough for a windling, but nothing more. Berryblood then turns to Endok-Tuk and T'sunami, "Will you help me lift these floor boards please?"
As the floorboards are removed, you see the whole open up to the point where even the trolls could get through with some squeezing. Berryblood grabs his light quartz and slides in, feet first. You hear him drop onto the ground, and looking in the hole you can just see his head, although it seems that he has to squat to allow the tunnel to accommodate his large body. It seems tall enough for most of you to walk through comfortably, although you will have to walk pretty much single file.
You enter into the hole, leaving those in the rear having to follow closely behind those in front of them and holding to each other's clothes (except for Grendahl and Endok-Tuk of course). A slight light does illuminate those in back, and you are able to see the roots and dirt of the tunnel, and in some parts the water that trickles down the wall from the rain above ground.
You round a corner, and head a few paces more when suddenly Berryblood stops. Those in front can see what seems to be a dead end, although it seems to be a wall of wood at the end. Berryblood grabs a hold of the wood and pushes it out of the way, opening you up to a large room. Berryblood walks to the middle, holding his light quartz and illuminating the room. You see the ceiling above you is made of concrete, and indeed there are stairs in one of the far corners that lead up into the cement.
To your immediate right is a wall with a long bookcase along it. To the far end of this wall is the stairs in the corner. To your immediate left is an old wooden door leading to a room of some sort. Following the wall on your left from the door is an opening to a hallway which, apparently leads to another room across from the one to your immediate left. Skipping the entrance to the hallway, the wall follows into a corner holding stairs leading down, across from the other stairs leading up.
Berryblood walks towards the stairs without allowing you much time to look around, and upon going down the stairs you see a wall almost directly in front of the stairs. Along the wall that the stairs rest on is another long set of shelves like for books or something. Along the wall that is across from the stairs is a door in the far corner, across from the set of shelves.
You enter through the door, and go down a short hallway heading back along the other side of the wall. At the end of the hall is yet again another door in the corner. You walk through this door, only to find yet another short hallway backtracking towards the opposite wall. Another door, another hallway, and again you walk down to yet another door. The whole time you feel as though you are walking through a winding maze that leads back onto itself multiple times. The last door, being the 4th, leads to what appears to be a small open room. The light quartz shines on the wall to your left, which does not run straight but rather jags at a slant from the wall with the door you entered from, to the wall on the opposite side. The wall is full of large holes, as if a massive beast had kicked them through. Through the holes, you can see large pieces of rock and dirt. At one part of the wall is a wooden door that seems weak enough that it could be kicked through.
Berryblood points to one of the holes. "Look through." Each of you takes turn to look, and on the other side laying against the wall is what appears to be a female elf in tailor made clothes that you have never seen before. The material looks very fine, although as a whole it is fairly warn. The elf's underclothes show from underneath holes in the material. You can see that her skin is quite fair, and it most definitely does not look like the cadaver men that you saw earlier.
You call out to her, and her head comes up. She smiles and then lays back down. You call again, but she does not move. She just lays there. As you reach for the door, Berryblood quickly steps in front. "This door is trapped by magic. I have searched for another way in, but this is the only way. Somehow we must disarm this magical trap. Even if someone were to wish to sacrifice themselves to the trap, there is no way to know what kind of devastation it would cause I'm sure. The elf herself is no use in her current state. Believe me, I tried hard to speak to her when I last came. I even have a potion that I tried to offer her, but she had not the strength to come try to get it. Besides, I don't think it would fit through the hole anyway. Somehow we must open this door."
With that the troll looks to you all for some sort of suggestion.
<Moves please>
<I would love to be able to answer questions throughout the week to help move the posts along, but unfortunately that is just not possible because I still do not have Internet access. My suggestion is that you send me an OOC e-mail separately listing all your questions you could possibly have as well as if/then actions. I am sure that if you are able to find a way in that there will be a whole bunch you will want to do, and that would probably interrupt the game flow. So, this is what I suggest:
First, send the questions for the situation at hand. I will attempt to check e-mail Monday or Tuesday. Take the answers you get and apply them for your character post. Then, with your characters' posts, include all of your in character if/then actions that you will want to do (if she wakes up, I check to see if anything else is wrong. If she is coherent, I ask her ".". If not, I will ".".). Give me enough to work with so I can post your questions with answers in Wednesday's GM post.
I hope this makes sense. Basically, though, if you have any questions for me please ask them before putting in your character post. This may mean that most of you will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday before you will have any real character posts to put up. I apologize for the inconvenience. I would like to be available to answer questions and move things along easily, but it's just not possible right now. Hopefully this method will allow things to still have a decent flow. Thanks. >
