Astran swallows, wondering if this is the onset of Tainted visions from
the Horrors. The laugh sent shivers down his spine. Mustering the
tattered remnants of his courage, he murmurs the words to his Astral
Sense spell, almost afraid of what it would tell him, as he looks about
the room, at his companions and himself. He looks at himself last,
unwilling to see if anything has changed..

Astran sits down on his haunches when the spell fades. <If anything
comes out of the Astral Sense spell, he tells his companions>. He
tries to collect his thoughts, to focus his will on his pattern, and
speed the recovery of his pattern, and hence his body, to gain the
Advertancy Of A Well Equipped mind, as his mentor called it, although
he didn't invoke the spell that followed the lesson. Somehow, he
thought, smiling wryly to himself, he will not need razor shard
debating skills in the hours ahead..
<recovery test, please>
He reviews the spells in his matrix's, and decides that he probably
still has the right ones, although he will need to do some rearranging
when they come across the trapped Theran..
