Hey all,
A couple things have been pointed out to me. I did not ever know about the max wound in one hit being 1 wound. I had always wondered about that...seemed pretty deadly in my games that one hit could cause multiple wounds to a character. I simply thought that was the way it was though, as I have never really played under anyone else in RL (self-taught). So, having this brought up by a couple players I am willing to accept that Trystan has only 1 wound for his 20 points of damage he recieved. Luckily my -1 step only affected him for the one round, and hopefully did not cause too much of an inconvenience.
Also, my usage of the Gliding-Stride / Melee Weapon / Down-strike combo was brought to my attention as well. I have never used this combo or seen it done before (most my campaigns never made it past 3rd circle due to life altering events) and so I struggled with the time frame and interruptions with trying to figure out how the combo was to be used. If someone could explain how this combo is supposed to work out best, and how it would apply to this situation, please let me know. A couple different ways of saying it wouldn't hurt.
Thank you to all who are being patient with the campaign. Let me state again that I did warn you all that this was more or less a learning experience for me, so you are expected to be patient with the game. If you find it too frustrating, then I won't be offended if you leave the game. But in the last few posts I have already learned a lot of new things, and will only learn more as the campaign continues.
Please do not get too upset if my immediate interpretation of a rule is not as normally expected and you feel it completely ruins what your character does. We all make mistakes, and this campaign particularly is meant to be a learning experience for the GM. Hopefully things will improve to the point where you don't have to be as patient anymore, but until that time comes...please be kind enough to work with me and be understanding.
That having been said, thanks for all the excellent posts and work so far. I hope you all are at least having some fun.
-Doug
P.S. Some of the damage shown at the bottom of the doc may not reflect the correct amount compared to the notes prior to. I forgot to edit some of the characters' damage when I found some errors and had corrected it on my excel file, but not on the word document. If you feel that your character's damage is in error, please let me know and we will go over what it should be and what I have it as. Thanks.
