Hey all,

Time for a GM learning experience. I forgot to check my facts against each
other. Endok-Tuk was the first to notice the creatures with his heat sight,
as it provides him with a range of 250 yards. I should have mentioned the
range Endok-Tuk figured the creatures at, as that would probably have
effected when he uses his Detect Undead spell which only has a range of 25
yards.

At 25 yards your characters would be closer to battle than before, and would
be able to see the creatures although Endok-Tuk would be the one to be able
to tell just how many of them there are that are ready to battle.

Also, after Endok-Tuk points them out, obviously Lars and Berryblood would
be able to notice the same, although none can tell what the creatures are.
As the creatures get closer, the Elves would probably be the first to pick
out the features of the creatures, being able to tell that they are undead
(low-light vision) at which point Endok-Tuk would be able to wait until he
feels they are about 25 yards within range (right about before you all start
your battle) and is able to pick up just how many there are. By that time,
the humans and all else would be able to see the creatures a lot better and
all could tell they are undead. Although, judging by the visability table
you would all be able to tell they are undead when they are about 50 yards
away, the elves able to tell when they are a little further from that, and
the trolls and dwarves able to pick up the heat much further from that
(although not pick up any features).

I hope this all makes sense. I should also mention that when Endok-Tuk saw
the creatures, he saw them at about 75 yards away at which point after being
told the elves would be able to see beings as well, although not able to
tell what they are.

This was to allow your characters enough time to prepare actions. The order
would have been noticing that they were undead first, then Endok-Tuk picking
up how many, then preparing for battle or something of the like.

I hope this didn't effect too much. Sorry I didn't manage out the details.
But this is how we learn. :)
