Siri looked around the room at other's responses to what the troll had said
as she finished the last bite of her stew. Apathy. She hated apathy. It was the
worst damn curse a person could have, especially if hope was the last vestige
that one had to hold onto. Been there, done that, had the marks to prove it.
Coin, well, she would need that if she was going to track down a wizard with
the know how to free her from her own private little curse. So this was as
good an opportunity as any to get started, right?
"How do you know have they have survived the scourge? How are they still
alive after all this time? Would you agree to magical verification of what you
say? What do they look like?" Another person called out.
Siri shook her head to that. "Bloody unlikely that he had the chance to ask
detailed notations on the woman's life during a leisurely stroll through the
Twists. I'll help you, troll. A bit of coin afterwards would surely be sweet,
but we can talk about that after our asses come out alive."
She shoved the remainder of her bread in a pouch and downed the last of the
wine quickly before standing. As small as the human was, standing wasn't much
different in height then it was with her sitting and her slender, tiny
childlike features quickly disappeared under a cloak that probably weighed half as
much as the woman did.
Her step was as quiet as quiet could be as she moved through the room towards
the troll. The swish of her cloak the only noise until she spoke again. "I
take it we're leaving shortly?"
