Caerdcha nods a polite greeting to each party member in turn, giving a
firm handshake to all those that offer one.

Caerdcha blushes slightly before replying. "I, um, may have been a bit,
shall we say, zealous in arguing the lack of intelligence of an
individual using weapons of such poor quality."

"My friends? Hah! That is a good one!" He pauses for a contemplative sip
of his own cup of wine. "To be honest, that situation was mostly my
fault. I tend to get a bit single-minded when it comes to weapons and
armor, forget that I might be slighting people. My forge master was
always admonishing me about that. She said you can not fully understand
the art of the weaponsmith without first understanding the people who
will be using those weapons. I think that's why she chose me for this
errand I'm on - a hope that I would broaden my horizons, so to speak."

"As a matter of fact, I am heading to Kratas. I have business with a
smithy that must be conducted in person. I have purchased a berth
already, from a t'skrang captain by the name of T'Chang. T'chang the
t'skrang." Caerdcha smiles fondly and shakes his head. "He boasts his
father was a troubadour, that is why his name is so lyrical. That may
well be true but I'm afraid T'chang must take after his mother's side of
the family when it comes to music. He's an excellent boat captain, but
damn near tone-deaf. I could take you to his ship, The Whisp, if you'd
like." He looks across the group once more. "I'm told the river can be
dangerous and I'm sure he would appreciate your presence as much as I."
