Lenora's heart catches in her throat at hearing Pean cry out. She nearly dropped her sword as she turned and saw the thorns pressing out through his skin, saw him crumple. Her first instinct was to run to his side, levy him up with his arm over her shoulder and drag him as far away from the thing as she could. But as he got shakily to his knees and began enacting some ritual she tugged herself back in line. He was doing what he knew, she was to do what she knew.
Face pale with an odd strain of rage at her friend being hurt- (friend who she wished was more than a friend but bloody likely that would happen if she never got the chutzpah up to tell him she felt differently or if he died kind of friend). Lena brought her sword in tight with the line of her arm.

She looked at her sword for a moment. Without the proper pressure her sword and that crystal would chip each other to miserable pieces. More than likely her sword before any bit of the wall gave. But Pean was in pain, the sword was only an extension of her own sharp spirit. It was a sacrifice that she could live with she hoped.
Lena steeled herself, running up to do the best that she thinks she can (knowing that she doesn't have the muscle to chunk through the shell that Garrott or the warriors do, she'll work with them and deepen the wounds already existing to the thing as the others moved on to the next column to smash or hack or whatever it is that our manly men and armored woman do. Hehehe.. I could have said butch, Sharon. Just remember that.)

Awww, warriors in love. They'll be engraving each other's names on matching warhammers in no time. We'll have to learn to knit chainmail booties.
