> Perhaps we should ask the cadaver men?" he only seems half joking...
For a moment Lenora's mind wandered. She pictured Pean sedatly approaching
one. "Excuse me, yes. I'm sorry to interrupt your miserable existance, but I
was wondering something? Are you sitting in your master or is the room a
giant trap for nosy adventures? Yes? No? Both? Why yes, I am a congenial
one."
She chuckled to herself. It was no wonder stress drove people mad. And
overactive sense of humor joined with an overactive imagination had
devestating effects. Now if she could only dream of the nethermancer with a
nice bottle of red wine at some sultry location. That would be a welcome
portent..
"So what should we do? If it is immobile then we could continue past it and
try to retrieve the item we are looking for. I personally do not want to go
into that room. If the room is the horror then I don't want it to consume
me."
"No, no.. It was a suggestion. We don't know that-" Lenora said, letting the
words trail off. Maybe she should have kept her big mouth shut. Note to
self: bypass any further wizardly musings unless one wishes to learn astral
site.
"Well, there are three things I can think off quickly on this situation:
One - it's never good to leave an enemy behind you if you're being thorough.
If you're trying to be sneaky it's best to skulk along before someone
notices you whispering in the shadows. Garrott doesn't hide very well."
"Two - If that is a horror it's bound to move at us, send things at us, etc
eventually. Why not toss a bag of flaming oil it's way and wish it a joyfol,
fiery death? Well, unless it brings the cave down or something pithy like
that. But I'd sum that up to being a rather sore loser."
"But the idea of bonding it's self into the corner stone so to say of the
caer and pumping it with it's corruption does sound rather horro-like
correct? Or at least properly dramatic."
"And three - if we're going to have to double back this way anyhow, why not
sneak now, slay later?" Lenora made a flourish gesture with one hand.
"Adventure awaits. Let us kicketh ass while the kicking's good. I'm almost
feeling up to par again."
