A foreboding feeling settled over Lenora when looking at the room and pieces
of the dream come to mind. Another portent perhaps? Was this the rotten core
disguised as a more innocent thing? Were the cadaver men caught up in it's
visions still? Worshiping remembered bits of happiness torn away from them
when they were reshaped into these unliving constructs? Was her imagination
running rampant again?
She bit her lip to avoid laughing nervously, but couldn't avoid the sudden
feeling that there was a puzzle here to be picked apart before entering the
room and certain doom raining down on them in the form of nightmarish black
tentacles. But what to say?
Last time you kept your mouth shut, she reminded herself, you caused more
trouble then you're worth you silly child. Say something, she chided herself
quietly. Speaking up her voice was barely more then a whisper. Those dreams
we had when healing in the main cavern.."
"Pean you mentioned they could be portents. What if this is connected to
them? Symbolisim could be a very big key when thinking back on them. Like
when the stone cracked away and the creature's arms poured forth to trap
those inside and suck away those promised trappings of happiness sucked away
to leave only dread.. If the room it's self is a pattern, what if the room
it's self has become the creature?"
