Garrott battles with his Obsidiman conscience as he binds his companions hands and then helps him to a seat in the chamber. Making sure that the Troll who is Temorya is as comfortable as possible, he turns on Lenora and Rose.
"Do not deem to question me or what I do for the safety of those I care about...I have trodden Barsaive for over one hundred years and in that time I have seen Name givers do far worse than what we do! I have seen children stoned because they stutter, husbands turn on wives because they believe that they are tainted and wars started in the name of emotion. You stand as those who would condemn others for cold logic and yet, it seems to me that the problems in Barsaive are caused because of emotion! You energy wasters have no comprehension at all, you flit about like little sparrows in the tree's, beating your chests and proclaiming what is right...because it suits you and your high morals and yet, your as tainted as those whom you rail against. Together the two of you stand there and make dramatic speeches like this is some Troubadours tale, which will end in glory and honour. Yet I have not seen you offer anything constructive on solving Temorya's and Todiels problem? Instead you seem intent on playing hero with flashing swords and big words. How is it that you have lasted this long on the path of an adept and as adventurers? How is it that you have not stumbled into the maw of some horror or other beast and been consumed totally? You speak of trust and yet you do not trust those within the party who would know better than a pair of little name givers who have experienced nothing!" Anger flashes through the Obsidiman and he grasps it with both hands allowing it to enter his voice and his eyes, if he had learnt one thing from these energy wasters it was anger. "I have lost companions to horrors and their kind...Zeph was dear to me and she was struck down by a horror. Taragon too was struck down by one who served a horror in name and all but appearance and you care to question me! Alden Rosepur fell to their wiles in a most sinister way. Would you prefer that I meet out the justice of you little name givers and stone both Todiel and Temorya to death? Perhaps I should beat them both until they admit their wrongs as I have seen yet other Name Givers do. Or perhaps you would prefer...as you both seem apt to do, to walk blindly into an ambush? One day...your trust is going to get you both killed...because you have grand notions of what it is...I have died before and I can assure you that it is not pleasant. I have lost those whom I cared about to the machinations and subterfuge of horrors and I can assure you, not all of them are as obvious as gnashers. You condemn both Pean and I for our cold logic...yet I condemn you both for fools for blindly stumbling into danger! If the worst that Temorya has to face is being bound for a short time, to regain his body, then he should count himself lucky." Garrott goes to say more and then snorts, shaking his head, turning to Pean he motions to Temorya's Windling form. "Let us get this done Pean...so the juveniles can go play hero with flashing swords whilst they blindly invite the evil into their midst." He stands next to Temorya, his hammer resting head down on the ground, intent on keeping his vigil and his word.
