Quiet. Lenora enjoyed quiet. She loved exploring caves. But quiet in a fight
just wasn't something that she was used to. Bravado! Show! Insult! Style!
These were the aspects of any beginning fight. You had to let your opponent know
that you were coming. Challenge them to a fight. Not ambush them!
But looking at the lurking creatures she wasn't even sure the creatures would
appreaciate the show she'd put on in getting ready for that attack. Shadow
puppets drifted vaguely through her mind, but she ignored that too. Damned if
this wasn't unartful. Caer crawls were less fun then she'd imagined them to be.
She sees Maereth gesticulating wildly with his hands and wondered if he
somehow thought about shadow puppets the same as she had, but decided on a no as
his sense of humor just wasn't that bent. She acknowledged his gestures with a
"beats me" shrug and looks to the others for some kind of translation.
Seeing Garrott cup his hands in preparation to yell some sort of battle cry
at the monsters to get their attention, Lenora silently prayed that it would be
something good. "Yo, over here" just wouldn't stir up one's blood for battle
the way "Death to ye defiled beasties" could. But then again, that wasn't so
great either. So Lenora began quietly thumbing over insults in her brain,
hoping that Garrott came up with something better to say. How would one insult a
shambling horror spawn anyhow? It wasn't something she had ever done before.
Finally with a sigh, Lenora waited for someone to begin the attack and hoped
that light quartzes would be activated the moment the fight began. Fighting in
the dark might prove hazardous to members of the rest of the party.
Particularly with Temorya's new shape.
Thinking on that, Lenora repositioned herself just slightly to where she
could keep something of an eye of Temorya and Pean during the battle. As confused
as it might get, it was better to stay a bit closer to them then worry that
they might get caught on accident by a friend's blade.
