Pean smiles sardonically.
"I feel that my demonstration above has given you too high an
estimation of my wards, my friend. The limited wards I can create last
only a few minuites, and each can only attempt to repel one creature at
any one time. You should know, also - you should all know - that the
astral space of this area is Corrupted. In such a place, even the
subtle spells of a magician, working through his Spell Matrix's, may
draw the attention of Horrors. Perhaps you have been spared the sight
Temorya - it is akin to swimming in rotten food. Nonetheless, the ward
a wise precaution"
He speaks quietly, though you have no trouble hearing him. In the same
quiet tones he creates a Life Circle of one around the group, trying
very hard *not* to think about what he is turning his back on, as he
completes the circle that faces into the Kaer.

When finished (he keeps going till he has one!) he stands again,
leaning on his staff (OOC: GM: does it still have the Light Quartz he
attached to it when they fell down the entrance? I was presuming so,
but..)

"It is done. I also have magic that is very efficacious against
cadaver men and the like, but, as with the life circle, it can only
deal with one at a time. It locks the creature and myself into a
battle of wills, where only one can emerge triumphant, or even move,
until either the spell ends, or one of us is destroyed. If I use this
spell, know that there is nothing preventing *you* from attacking the
creature while I dominate it.

Be careful - I have no doubt the Horror knows we are coming, and has
chosen to withhold its minions for some reason. Stealth may be a
better ally here than combat, though I do not think to tell a Warrior
how to fight"
