Farli inspects the crack in the rock. She reaches into her pack "Hmmm, I
wonder ..." Farli puts out a small dagger, "well, here goes nothing ...".
She reaches her arm into the crack, holding the dagger ready in the other
hand, in case she finds something nasty in there. She tries to feel how
deep the crack goes, and if it penetrates the rock completely.
<ooc Mark are there any animals around (of the burrowing kind :D) Farli
will try to dominate beast and send a creature through the crack to see if
anything nasty happens to it upon entering>
<if that fails ... > Farli looks over to Temoyra and says "what does the
staff do when you hold it up to the crack?", she then moves out of the way
so someone else can have a go a the puzzle.

I have obviously not described the door or the crack in it well. The ddor
is 10 yards square. 10 yards high, and across. From the hole in the door
it appears to be around 3 foot thick. There are numerous magical markings
engraved on its surface that are consistant with the Theran Rites of
passage.
The gash in the door that contains the crack lies in the top left part of
the wall. It is not overly thin but wide and is about 2 - 2 and a half foot
deep in most places. There is a small portion of it that is a five inch
diameter hole at the bottom of that gash. You could fit an arm or a leg in
if you wished but that is about as far as a normal human sized character
could go. If you place a dagger in it it will fall through, not sit neatly
in it like a key....
