Pean laughs, although not harshly, and offers his services the next
time he wishes to puchase such things;
"My father is a merchant of some note, and was grooming me to follow in
his footsteps before I learned that my was was that of the spirits, and
not of the coin, but I have picked up a trick or two, here and there"

Pean also relates his colleagues thoughts on the Corinthian, albeit
quietly, so no one would overhear;

"My colleague had some interesting comments about our benefactor. It
seems that his tale of turning up at the same time as the magistrate is
true, but no one knows how he makes his living, or where he dwells. He
also told me of rumours - though they may be just that;
Some say that he is a bad omen and those that become closest to him
suffer
some misfortune.
Others who are more superstitious believe that he steals your soul with
a look through those glasses and that any that have seen him without
them
on lose the power of sight forever!
Now, granted, this is hearsay, and he didn't seem all that worried, but
even so, i think we should return after our mission is complete.."

Pean, becoming quite concerned, checks the aura's of all those that
speak to Mearath, and quiety asks Temorya to do the same. Something is
very wrong here, and for the first time in his life, he wishes he knew
a troubadour. They would understand Namegiver hearts, and what magic
can influence them so..

Despite the omens, Pean runs through the incantations and gestures of
the spells he has so recently acquired, happier that he has slightly
more means to defend himself and his companions available to him. He is
torn between a keenness to test his abilities against the nemesis of so
many of his Discipline, and nervous that, even yet, he would not be
ready. He has learned so much since leaving Bush Namur, yet is unsure
it would be enough against a foe so deadly, they have brought entire
cities to ruin.

OOC I don't have my notes to hand, so if I get the name wrong, 100
apologies, but this is meant for our Beastmaster!

As they finish packing and watch Shalandra prepare Shalamar for the
journey, Pean crosses over to where Farli sits.
"I wonder if I might ask your professional opinion? I have been
considering taking on a familiar, but I do not know which animal would
be best for me. I would not want to place my companion in combat, but
it would be very useful if it could scout areas for us, so perhaps
something small, or winged? Do you have any advice?"
