"If it is any consolation, I will, I think with the leave of Ferrock, I would take a post by your hearth, so I may offer what little protection I may for you." Garrott offers.
"Myself also. I want to stay here and help protect you Lady Sara. You have helped me protect my Shalamar. I want to protect you as well." Shalandra watches the weeping Mayor.
"Are you sure that a post here is going to be as effective as a town watch at this point?" Lenora looks at the large Ork captain as he considers the requests.
"Temorya, you have twenty minutes to look around. Rock friend Garrott, as kind as it is to offer, perhaps it is best if Sara has someone local to help her tonight. You have journeyed far and shown great fortitude but we cannot ask and will not accept your help in this way. It is perhaps best if Shalandra does stay with me and help keep the watch here. But as your friend here says also we must strengthen the watch in the village. Angavorn can take care of that."
The ork swordsman turns from you all. A man who is used to having his orders followed without question. Angavorn approaches you all "perhaps we should leave. Allow Shalandra and Ferrock to secure the area. Come back in the morning and see how we can help then."
You look over your shoulder to see Temorya, vacantly staring at the area where the body lays and then flittering over to the Mayor to again survey the area.
It is not long before Temorya joins you, slightly crestfallen at finding nothing unusual in the Mayfler mansion. He reports that Shalandra has taken to guarding Sara in her bedchamber and Ferrock is patrolling the rest of the mansion and grounds.
You fall asleep in the caravan or back in your homes, another late night to add to the many of late. It is early morning that you awalen however, with Angavorn coming to wake you all. He carries a cob of steaming hot bread each between two of you and a pot of fragrant tea combining ginger and mint to help waken you and bring your senses to bear.
On eating he waits until you are all gathered and any karma rituals are completed before leading the group back up the hill to Sara Mayfler's house.
You arrive at the front door and find Ferrock and Shalandra waiting for you just inside the door. In the dining room you find Elklisee, Sara and a weak but awake Veltus sitting over a meal of porridge.
"He awoke soon after Temorya left last night." Sara notices a few of the excited looks in the T'skrangs direction. "He is weak so be easy on him."
<I will update as we go til Sunday so if you wish to ask questions go ahead. Of anyone too, not necessarily just Veltus. If you exhaust yourselves of questions I may move the story forward again in this part too>
