Lenora grins widely, having joined in the applause. "I feel honored having my arse kicked by such skilled folk. Thanks for the training. You," she points to Rose. "You are just viscious my lady. Bravo!"

"And bravo to you, sir Maereth. Remarkable. Truly remarkable."

Rose grins at Lenora "I never claimed I wasn't vicious. I learned well."

Maerath smiles, and walks over to the fellow human warrior of the opposite sex
who was his last challenger, "I have to admit, I didn't believe it would be
down to us, 2 humans in the match." Maerath pauses, and looks at his
weapon, "I...I can't believe it. It all came to me, and I could fight almost
instinctively...without having to really think about it." he shakes his head,
as if trying to remember something.... "Where?" he says only barely audible,
perhaps only barely enough for Rose to hear, "Where did I learn how to fight
like this?". His attention completely drawn away from Rose and to his sword,
he turns it over and continues to stare at it, away, as it seems, from all
  other reality around him.

Rose smiles softly "You were good. Far better than I." Then drops her voice so only he can hear "Don't dwell on what you can't remember. I know from experience it only causes more problems to try and remember what is forgotten." She then turns to clean her axe

The big being of stone, pushes himself from the low wall that he had leaned against upon his withdrawal from the mock battle. Slowly he raises his mace and salutes each of the combatants in turn and then his attention falls on Maerath.
"You may as well ask the liferock why it knows the shaping...your muscles and blood hold knowledge and the magic, the rest is merely a shell." A small mischevous grin spread across the big beings face as he walks past the swords mistress. "Still, despite all this back slapping, it is not real combat, on the battlefield, one does not pull their punches." He looks to Lenora and Rose before striding off. "I am all for a hot bath and something to eat...any care to join me in the eating? The unit that eats together, fights well together."
