Angavorn waves you off as you soon begin the rounds of the little walled village. Only about 300 metres long North to South and 200 metres wide East to West, you feel a bit foolish wandering around in such a large group. However, the happenings of the past day seek to prove you wrong so you move slowly an keep your eyes peeled for any happenings in the night.

Along your path you make sure that you check in with Pean and Temorya, Shalamar and Suskin and with Angavorn. Moving past the inn you find it subdued with only one or two patrons in the serving area at any time and they are identified as locals by Shalandra.

The first few hours drag on slowly and the tiredness of your battles and travel begin to take a toll on you all. You begin to wish that you had taken the option of an early night and let the local watch take care of the rounds. Not a sound has disturbed the air for a long time.

It is the last round that you need do before retiring for the night that you check in to the stables. As you open the stable door and say hello to Soll you hear an ear piercing scream come from the grassy hill above the common. The estate of Sara Mayfler.

Moving quickly you grab at your weapons and run for the estate. Even as you turn on to the paved road you can see Angavorn and Ferrock entering the door. You make it to the front and move into the well appointed front hall. Sara is dressed in a flannel nightgown covered in blood. She weeps, her head held in her hands and you realise that the blood is not hers but is the blood of the serving boy that lays slain at her feet.

"I heard him call out and came downstairs" she struggles to relate between sobs. "He was in the grasp of something black and full of shadows. It cut poor Aidan down with its claws. On seeing me it fled. I had Aidan sit outside the room I store most of my acquisitions from. I never knew this would happen!" Her sobs overtake her as Ferrock motions for Angavorn to look around. You follow but find nothing out of place, Angavorn suggests you leave and return in the morning to find out if Sara has remembered any more.

<Cheers>
