((OOC: Sorry for all the back posting guys. My hubby left for Gencon last
week, and I'm trying to keep the business going and take care of three kids while
he's off gaming 24/7 till monday afternoon. If I skip around, please forgive
me. I won't be this sloppy again.))
Lenora goes from telling a horribly funny little story during the ritual to
prove her lack of horror taint to sneaking Suskin a few fish fillets that she
buys with the idea in mind to stuff the bear cub past the ability to get into
everything. Sneaking them was just part of the joy of feeding the greedy little
thing. Sort of like a kid in a candy store.
She travelled along with the group after making sure that the caravan was
secured where it was.
"I must admit sir elf thaat I am concerned as to Veltus and his safety,
especially since seeing the state of your last patient." The obsidimen looks to
the dead T'skran laying on another pallet. "If you think to repeat your attacks
on Veltus or any of my companions you will be sorely disappointed let me
assure you." The rock man looks around at his group for reassurance.
"Oh yes," Lenora chimes in. "You should see our Garrott when he's determined.
Quite a fearsome combatant. With one mighty cry he put those bandits in fear
of their lives. And I'm thinking his lumbering gait very much contributed to
their hasty retreat. One great stomp and they'd have squished like ripe
melons." She nods, very satisfied with her color commentary.
"That T'skrang was not a patient of mine - he was imitating a friend of
ours, and attacked us - without provocation - when his ruse was
revealed. His manner of attack suggested Horror corruption, and so we
had to defend ourselves, and this town, to the best of our ability. I
do not wish anything harm - lest it be Horrors or their spawn, or I
would not be the Physician for the town."
Lenora blinks at the physician, then sighs. "Oh joy. Oh rapture. So you think
this man was horror tainted and he lies in your domicile.. Have you any other
signs that a horror is near that we should be watchful of?"
Just as the elf finishes speaking a shrill scream is heard from the square.
"Murder! Murder! Murder!" The womans voice chants the word like a mantra.
"-Like that. That's always a sure fire clue." Lenora heads out the door,
following the commotion and nosing over what she can see of why this woman is
wailing so. At the sight of the body, Lenora pulls her lips into a tight line and
gets much more serious in posture and poise. "Oh, Garrott," she says, "It
seems like we'll have much to do here too. The poor man.."
Rose calls for Lenora or Kalais or someone from the group she knows to come
over. When they do she shows the chalice she found.
"Huh?" Lenora looks at Rose with her brow furrowed curiosly. A little of the
humor has come back to her features. "A cup, Rosie. It's a cup. Dead man.."
She points towards the body. "Cup.. Dead man.. Cup.. Get over here woman.."
