Game Notes
1.1 Jailhouse Rock!
The guards, you notice, all wear shoes with magnetic soles to help anchor them to the floor if gravity goes out.
1.2 Jailhouse Rock!
Picure taken of guards, McGoohan and Christianson. Nothing unusual in any of
their IR signatures, as far as you can see.
The chip Lt. Christianson threw you contains the maps up at the website.
2.0 The Ship
You're computer is picking up another wireless network in the
ship, powerfull, or reboradcast sufficiently, to make it out even to the
airlock. Its military-grade encrypted, though. With your past experience
of such things, you might be able to get more information if you took some
time to analyse it.
You also notice that the stobing light has a pattern. What it says, you're not sure, but its definately a repeating pattern.
2.1 The Ship
The pattern matching shows the pattern is a binary signal, which seems,
in turn, to be another encoding signal. Thats all you've managed to get
so far. Doesn't seem encypted, from your experience, but then..people
can be so damn cunning about these things.
2.2 The Ship
PatternMatch
[XXXXXXXX..] 80% complete
2.4 The Ship
PatternMatch:
100% Complete
Binary code for Computer Malfunction: 10008465
"Operator Commands Incompatible"
Technically, refers to failure in internal code instructions, usually a
debugger error. How it made its way to the Military code beacon, you have no
idea, this normally shows up in the guts of computer code - it wouldn't get
translated into the beacon unless someone had written a program to do so,
or purposely programmed the beacon to display this..
2.22 Waiting..
It takes a few minutes to setup the laptop to connect to the wireless link -
the security is really quite impressive. The only time he has encountered this
before was when he was attempting to re-route some missiles in-flight.
Even then, the technology has moved on and this is obviously cutting edge.
2.23 Prisoners No More?
With the guards ID's and the
opportunity to extract all the needed biometric info (without harming
anyone - eyeew!), Syle reckons he has a good chance of faking the
guards access, at least to make a once off payment siphon. Assuming
banking hasn't changed too much in the last 6 months..
2.24 Conversations and Plans
The PDA contains ships plans,
engineering specs, and prisoner bio's for everyone sent over.
There are two exceptions he realises. There is nothing on Jamal
whatsoever - not even a mention, and the entry for Virgil simply
states: Consider armed and dangerous. Terminate with extreme prejudice authorised at Internal Police level.
The entry is signed with Lt. Christianson's signature.
3.5 Your Flight is now boarding at Gate 5
The brief look you got at the data sticks (what? the G.M. didn't
forget! No, he just..didn't answer? *whistles innocently*) shows that
they are all encrypted by what you are pretty sure is a high level
Imperium cypher. You've come across this class before, and are
fairly certian that it has a "master key" in addition to the key used
to encode it. This should, given Imperium Military Inteligence
S.O.P. be somewhere on the ship so that the ranking officer can decode
any of his staff's files as needed. You even know what kind of
file to look for.
4.3 Character Advancement
Two level ups as agreed;
Investigation (Smarts) d6 -> d8
Streetwise (Smarts) d6 -> d8
Notice (Smarts) d4 -> d6
Stealth (Agility) d4 -> d6
4.4 Character Advencement, redux
You also had a previous advancement, so I added the points to the XP tally, and am noting it here so I don't forget..
4.5
Syle sends the coded message, and checks the bulletin board for the usual drops. None seem to be active, and the "bug out" accounts of emegency ID's and money are empty.
4.10
You notice that she has a small, hardly noticeable transponder in her ear, probably wireless connected to a radio or comms kit.
Likely, she has some kind of throat mike concealed under the high-necked suit.
